Ruben's "Adoration of the Maggi" installed in chapel of King's College - Cambridge. One of the world's most valuable painting the $275,000 "Adoration of the Maggi' - by Rubens - is now in a temporary place in King's College, Cambridge. For its journey to the Chapel - from London - the painting was encased in a plastic envelope and wooden casing, fastened to a tubular steel frames. the 12fr. by 9ft. painting was presented to Cambridge University by Major Alfred Allnatt, a London building contractor who purchased it at Sotheby's in 1959 for a world record price. When transferred to a permanent position in the chapel - the painting will be fixed into a special frame - packed with a special salt to protect it from temperature changes. Photo Shows The "Adoration the Maggi" - in its temporary setting in King's Chapel Cambridge.
