They Call Him " The Laughing Policeman" Syndicate Wins Record Poots Prize. The cheque for £250.206 was last night presented to P.C. Jimmy Upton of the Margate Police Force -at Grosvenor House. He shares the prize - the world record Foot ball Pools prize - with eighteen others in a syndicate from Margate Plice Station. The syndicate's total win, including smaller divide ends was £252,984 - 12 - Od. The odd couple of thousands is being sent by post. Jimmy Upton, who organised the syndicate - will have a £50,000 share of the prize. Photo shows In a very happy mood - P.C. Jimmy Upton holds up the cheque for £250,206 after the presentation last evening.
