1965 Press Photo Dr. Hachenberg, Radio Telescope, Observatory, University Bonn

Description
The newest and largest radio telescope of Europe with a diameter of 90m will be placed by the observatory of the University Bonn. There are three places in question, - namely Munstereifel (Kreis Euskirchen), Gemund (Kreis Schleiden) and Emmerich (next to the Niederrhein). In the focus of the parable, mirror is a cabin of 4 x 6 m for recording equipment of the radio telescope. Most probably they will start the construction in Spring 1966, - the estimate coasts will be DM 18 Mill. Prof. Dr. Hachenberg (Hachenberg) of the University with the model of the planed radio telescope, (Through the window appears the radiotelescope, diameter 25 m, which has been opened 1956.)
