Description
No Anti-Aircraft-Defence-Cannon: is this new super-antenna on the roof of the Offenbach weather-service. Although its name sounds very warlike, shall the meteorological-gun serve peaceable purposes. The wire-gun is an important implement for a more certain and quicker weather forecast. The German Weather Service in Offenbach makes big preparations, in order to comply with this task. At the begin of the new year will the Americans start a new weather-satellite "TOS" and at the same time will this meteorological gun get into action. The antenna then will transmit and receive the records of the weather-satellite "TOS". The satellite will revolve round the earth in a height of 500 km and automatically transmit photos of the cloud layer and the earth's surface in intervals of about four minutes. The satellite "TOS' is equipped with the so called APT-system (Automatic Picture Transmission).

Photo measures 6 x 8.25 inches.
