1974 Press Photo Bank Gunman, Hostage Mrs Lacheteau

Thwarted Bank Gunmen take Hostages.: Gunmen who had failed in an attempt to raid a bank at Champigny, a Paris suburb, later sought refuge in a house in another suburb where Mrs. Lacheteau was looking after her five children and held them hostage. Later they came out of the house with Mrs. Lacheteau and her son Bruno and rove off a car provided by the police. Later the hostages were released a wood near Paris. Photo shows one of the bandits wearing a stocking mask, leaving the house with his hostage, Mrs. Lacheteau, in a Paris suburb yesterday. Later the hostages were released.
