Description
More Parliamentary Pigeons Lose Their Seats: A soft, plastic, jelly - like bird repellent called Scarecrow Strip was today applied to the 380ft. Victoria Tower and Soverign's entrance of the Houses of Parliament to unseat the local pigeons. The treatment will take a week and post control servicemen Dannis parsons and Ray Ash, of Rentokil Laboratories Ltd, will lay a total of 1,200 yards of the material, using cacuking guns, from the 100ft. turntable ladder of the company's own fire engine. Scarecrow Strip does not harm the birds but yields under their 'pigeon toes' making them seek a firmer perch elsewhere. Photo Shows: Ray Ash s~ts off up the 100ft turntable ladder - with his cannisters of Scarecrow Strip
