American Roman Catholic Priest now married to former nun goes on television in support of moves to relax the celibacy laws of the Church.: An American Roman Catholic priest, now married to a former nun, last night went on National television in support of moves to relax the celibacy laws of the church. The priest, who migrated to Australia from the United States last May, has appealed to Rome to recognise his marriage. The priest is Dr. William Dickerson, 47, who lives with his attractive wife, Sandra and three months old daughter, Shannon, in the outer Sydney suburb of Denistone. Dr. Dickerson was a beneogwaine priest for 27 years ad his wife a nun for seven years. The couple came to Australia from America 10 months ago and a daughter, Shannon was born last December. Photo shows Dr. and Mrs. William Dickerson and their three-months old daughter, Shannon.
