The supposed murderds of the two brothers gunned down in a jewel robbery were arrested today by the "Carabanieri". On the 17th of January the brothers Gabriele and Silvano Menegazzo. 19 and 23. jewelry salesmen for their father's firm, were gunned down in the street in front of their home and robbed of two walises containing some ~90.000 in jewelry. Their father watched the murders from the balcony of the apartment via Gatteschi. The gunmen escaped by car. Police throughout Italy launched the biggest hunt in decades for the gunmen, one of the them tentatively identified by eye-witness as wanted robber Leonardo Cimino, who shot and sounded two bank clerk sin a similar robbery last August. The Cimino's accomplice was the disertor Franco Torregiani. A friend of Cimino and Torregiani, Mario Loria, was arrested together them.
