Anthony Quinn came to Greece, to sign an agreement with the General Cinema Enterprises, which is a branch of the Tate-controlled Hollenic Industrial Development Bank. Quinn intends to invest 2.5 Million 2 for the production of 3 films. The General Cinema Enterprises will put up an equal amount. The first of the 3 films planned, will b "The Barbarians", directed by Michael Kakoyanmis. who directed Quinn in "Zerba the Crook". The second project will be "Promothous", a modern version of the ancient Greek pla, which takes place in the last world war and the third project will be "House is the sailor", based on the nest seller by Brazilian author Jorge Amado. Quinn payed 250,000 & for the rights to film this book, which will be directed by John Cassavaton, who is of Greek origin. Quinn will star in all 3 films. Shooting will start after he has finished starring in 1 16 Million & production on the life of the prophet Mohammed, being filmed in Marocco. Quinn is planning to build a motion picture festival building on the Bodecanese Island of Rhodes where he owns huge estates.
