Tanganyika and Zanzibar Merge.: The African States of Tanganyika and Zanzibar have merged to from a new nation. The instruments of Ratification have been echanged by the Presidents in the Tanganyika capital of Dar Es Salaam. Photo shows President Nyerere of Tanganyika greets Zanzibar, President Karune when he arrive at Dar Es Salaam airport for the ceremony.
