Earl goes into Films at 60 Monocled Lord Norbury Passes Screen Test: The fifth Earl of Norbury -"the whole Croydon district once belonged to my family, but they lost it playing dice' - has become a film actor and executive at the age of 60. As an actor he began work next week by playing a major in the Devil's Jest' which is now being made at Syon House,Chiswick ancestral home of Duke and Duchess of Northumberland. As an executive he negotiated the temporary conversion of this 500 year old house into studio for the first of a series of a feature films to be filmed in and around England's stately homes. The films are being produced by Capt. Paul King and leading lady is Mara Tavernan, a former child star who claims to be the reincarnation of Mary Queen of Scots.
