After the resignation of the two ministers Dr. Spuhler and Schaffner, the general assembly of parliament elected Wednesday morning Mr. Pierro Graber (left) and Mr. Ernst Brugger (right) as new members of the Federal Council. Mr. Brugger has been director of the Dept of economics of the canton Zurich, and Mr. Graber was minister of the treasury of the canton Waadt (Lausanne).
