Description
Prof. Grzimek and his talking bird: can never together appear on the German TV in Grzimek's cast " a place for animals". The talking bird, an east Asian beo,is used to "sell news by crying the name of a German mass paper. As commercial advertising is banned from German TV during program hours, there will be no show for the beo. Just now, the beo got a mate, gifted to the zoo by German government press chief Felix von Eckardt. In contrast to the zoo directors bird, the beo from Bonn knows how to tell dementis, as the wardens say, so the two birds are a great attraction for visitors. Our photo shows Prof. Grzimek talking with his beo.

Photo measures 8.5 x 6 inches.

Photo is dated 6-6-1962.
