Strike Could Shut The National Theater: The unofficial "wash basin" strike by the National Theater electricians mechanics and production staff which has closed the ~17 million complex since last Friday, 'is very serious" said Mr. Peter Hall, the director. With the concellation of last night's performance the theater's losses have reached ~22,000 and if the strike continues ~50,000will be lost by Thursday. The strike was caused by the dismissal of Mr. Cooper a plumber, who according to the management was asked to rrepair to faculty wash basins, a job which has been suggested could have been completed in two hours, three days later the task had still not been completed.
