UNITED NATIONS NEW SECRETARY GENERAL ARRIVES AT NEW YORK READY TO TAKE OVER FROM TRIGVE LEE. Dr Dag Hammarskjold, the new Secretary General elect of the united Nations arrived at Idlewild Airport, New York today from Stockholm and was welcomed by Mr Trigve lee who is relinquishing the post to him after seven years as UNO secretary general. OPS. Dr Dag Hammarskjoeld (without hat) and Mr Trigve Lee being escorted from the airport by a small army of policemen.
