PRESS CONFERENCE FOR LIONEL HAMPTON: A press conference was held today at the St. Paul's Cathedral Chapter House, for Lionel Hampton, America's coloured jazz king of the vibraphone, who is over here to appear as solo artist in the midnight charity matinee at the Royal Festival Hall this evening. The concert, presented by Christian Action, is in aid of the Christian Action Defence and Aid Fund on behalf of the 156 accused and their dependents in the South African Treason Trial.
