Royal Wedding in Tokyo.: Prince Yoshi, second son of the Emperor and Empress of Japan was married today (Sept 30th 1964) to Miss Hanako Tsugaru a Young Tokyo society girl in an ancient ceremony inside the Imperial Sanctuary at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo. The couple exchanged small cups of sake (rice wine) sipping from them thrice. Few are permitted to witness the actual wedding ceremony. The new member of the Imperial Family will become known as Princess Hanako. Photo shows Prince Yoshi and Princess Hanako in their ancient Imperial ceremonial robes in which they were Married in the Imperial Sanctuary in a ceremony witnessed only by Shinto Priests.
