Official u.S. Coast Guard Photograph: Captain Carl B. Oleon (left), Operations and Air officer for eastern Area, and Chief Quartermaster B. R. Stolars, Aest. Sar Controller, compute the intercept course of Coast Guard Search and Rescue aircraft anroute from Bermuda to assist and stand by a plane enroute to Nermuda, which has run law on fuel and is preparing to ditch near Ocean Station "Echo". Through the Coast guard's teletype to the rescue Coordination Center, it is possible to maintain constant and immediate communication with all Coast guard cutters and plane at sea as well as U.S. and foreign merchant men maintaining a radio guard.
