The Social Democrats Launch Their New Party: The launching took place today of the Social Democratic party. with a press conference given by the four founder members, Mrs Shirley Williams, Roy Jenkins, William Rodgers and Dr David Owen. The colours of the new party are red, white and blue, with a membership fee of ~9-, Shirley Williams declared that the people "Hunger for a new beginning".
