Preparing copies of the Proclamation for distribution: The work of sending out the Proclamation is carried out by an official called the Clerk of the Chamber, who has an office in the Houses of Parliament. Thousands of copies of the original Proclamation with the Queen's Great Seal attached are sent out for display on public buildings throughout the country. Photo shows a copy of the Proclamation is held up by an official at the Crown Office in the House of Lords this evening.
