Workers At The Grunwick Laboratories Offered Council Houses If They Down Tools Workers who have refused to join a strike at the Grunwick Laboratories at Willesden, North London. It was over the sacking of one of the workers for "laziness" that the strike began, and has now lasted for 42 weeks, have been offered Council Houses if they would down tools. Photo Shows: Pickets carrying posters purporting to show workers who refused to join the strike.
