INDIAN NAVY'S NEW FRIGATE LAUNCHED AT COWES... COCONUT TAKES PLACE OF CHAMPAGNE... The I.N. KUTHAR - new frigate of the Indian Navy wwas launched at Cowes today by MRS. USHA RAJWADE wife of the Military Adviser to the H.C. for India in the United Kingdom. A coconut took the place of the more unusual champagne...The vessel is 310 ft. long and has a beam of 33ft. KEYSTONE PHOTO SHOWS: MRS. RAJWADE prays in true Indian style - and recites an invocation to the God of the Seas - during the launching ceremony at Cowes today.
