Rumanian air plane hi-jacked forced to land at Munich Airport: Hungarians forced the pilot to land and asked for political asylum: Several armed Hungarians hi-jacked a Rumanian aeroplane to Munich on the evening of September 14th, 1970. The hi-jackers three men and one woman who had two little kids with her asked for political asylum at the Bavarian capital. The plane of the type ''BAC 1-11'' had a total of 84 passengers and five crew-members on board and was flying from Bucharest to Prague. After an intermediate landing at Budapest the Hungarians occupied the plane and forced the pilot to landing at Budapest the Hungarians occupied the plane and forced the pilot to land at the Munich airport Riem. The ''Boss'' of the air-pirates is 23 year old television technician Geza Karaczony. Besides him 25 year old machinist Janos Mamuzsits and 29 year old joiner Miklos Biro took part at the kidnapping. Biro was with his 24 year old wife and his two children a boy of two and a boy of five. The Hungarians were disarmed and arrested by the police after the landing of the plane without resistance.
