June 29th 1969 Son of Peter Townsend marries a farmer's daughter - Mr. Giles Townsend, 26, son of Group Captain Peter Townsend, the former Equerry to the Queen, was married yesterday to farmer's daughter, Victoria Craven-Smith-Milnes, 20, at Southwell Minster, Notts. Giles is the son by previous marriage to artist Rosemary de Laszlo, present wife of John de Laszlo, son of the Royal portrait painter. Peter Townsend attended the wedding with his present wife, Belgian born Marie Luce, and their three children. Photo Shows: Mr. Giles Townsend and his wife pictured leaving the church after their wedding yesterday.
