Description
26-2-66 He knows the pitfalls of being a national hunt jockey when the going is very heavy â Tony Dennis may not be one of Britainâs most successful National Hunt Jockeys. But he knows the pitfalls of the jumping business as intimately as anyone. Hazards like the horse who falls, refuses, slips up or just gives up, or the currently fashionable thing; Mud. This he encountered in the train at Sandown Park yesterday while riding a horse called âœCarousel Starâ. Not being a front running type, âœCarousel Star❠and her rider had to put up with all the mud thrown up the horses ahead for two long sticky miles. Things became so bad that the last race on the card was abandoned. Photo Shows: National Hunt jockey Tony Dennis spattered with mud after yesterdayâs race at Sandown Park.
