Operation Snowdrop. Planes In Rescue Work In Snowbound Scotland. The Navy and R.A.F. were equal to the many relief call which were pouring in from snowbound villages in Northern Scotland. Naval and Air Force planes flew over Scotland's desolate wastes all day, delivering food, evacuating the sick and seeking out S.O.S. messages in the snow. Photo Shows:- The woman in the stretcher here - had been without fresh food for nine days.....
