Girls join from RAF Aircrafts for the first time.: Women today become for the first time since they demand Air Force blue members of RAF aricrews. The new flying crew girls are members of the air quartermaster division responsible for the loading of Transport Command and for the welfare of the passengers. ten women of WRAF (and 22 men air quarter masters) today received their "Half Wing" brevets marking their new status at Lyneham Wilts. They are also to get extra pay for their flying duties. Photo shows after receiving their "half wing" brevets today are left to right Sergeant Joan Talbot G.S.M. Sergeant Margaret Wood, Sergenat Gleman Sergeant Dorothy Mackay, ligh/Sergeant Anne Bowden, Sergeant Edna Devine, Sergeant Hazel ~ogg, Sergeant Marie Wood and Sergeant Jean Douglas.
