2-7-58 British troops keep a wary eye after lifting of the curfew in Nicosia â A member of the British Security forces sen in the Market place, Nicosia, after the unexpected lifting of the curfew recently. There were a number of outbreaks of violence soon afterwards and the curfew was re-imposed where necessary.
