Birmingham Psychologist undergo Brainwashing experiment in a TV show: This evening viewers on B.B.C television will see Mr. Russell Willett, of Maudsley, Birmingham, take part in a brainwashing experiment in the Lime Grove show "Tonight". He will be placed in a sound proof box in the studio and. provided he can last the course, will emerge 24 hours later. the idea is to illustrate how a brainwashing can work how a man completely insulated from the world may change his ideas in a short time. During the experiment he will wear special dark goggle, allowing him to see only a dim light, will be deprived of his sense of touch by cardboard tubes over his hands, and will be kept under constant observation throughout the experiment. His meals will be delivered at irregular intervals so that he cannot judge time.
