Fourteen Islanders Arrested During Attempt to Stop Traffic from the First Sunday Ferry Service. fourteen islanders were arrested, including a local minister yesterday, after an attempt to block traffic from the first regular Sunday ferry service to run between the Scottish mainland and the Isle of Skye. The arrests followed a struggle during which the islanders staged a "sit down" demonstration marked the climax of a nine months campaign in the Isle of Skye, stronghold of the Scottish Sabbath, against the introduction of the Sunday ferry service. Photo Shows: The police keep back the islanders of Skye as a car drives ashore from the first Sunday ferry service yesterday.
