The Unnoticed Heroine - Work As Usual: The previous day, millions of television viewers all over England had watched as Policewoman Margaret Cleland, 23, had talked and talked to a man with a child in his arms who was threatening to jump from the roof of a four-storey building, for 85 minutes, before she finally managed to snatch the child from his arms, nearly falling herself.
