Press Conference At Weybridge To Discuss The Recent Flight Of A Man-Powered Aircraft: The Weybridge Man Powered Aircraft Group today held a press conference at the Apprentice Training School, British Aircraft Corporation, Weybridge, to discuss the recent flight of their man-powered aircraft. The group is sponsored by the Royal Aeronautical Society, and are aiming their sights at the ~10,000 prize money held by the Society for presentation to the first man to achieve a one mile flight round a figure-of-eight course. The aircraft flew about 50 yards of a height of about 3-feet last September. It is a single seat. low wing, pusher monoplane with a wing span of 120-feet an overall length of 20-feet and a 7-foot propeller at the rear.
