Man with Knife in Rooftop Siege: A man armed with a knife and a stick, yesterday defied police and firemen from the roof of a house in Church-road, Manor Park, London. During his siege, he hurled states which he had prised from the roof, at the police. Eventually two rescuers persuaded him to come down. Photo shows The man waves a commando knife at rescuer Steadman of the roof during the seige.
