The Koch family is probably the largest one in West Germany - Large quantities are need, when the Koch family in Larmerstadt/Bavaria gets to lunch. Painter Werner Koch and his wife, Brunhilde, who married 1973, have together 20 children. Eleven of them are from the first marriage of Werner Koch, while the other nine are from the first marriage of Brunhilde Koch. The costs of living are not only covered by the salary of Werner Koch, but also by subsidies and by financial help of the oldest children who go to work, 125 pounds of bread, 50 kg. of potatoes and 30 cans of vegetables are only a small part of what the family needs per week.
