Description
She has solved a parking problem by running a Roadway through the middle of her House.: Mrs. Joan Thomas has solved the parking problem by running the roadway through the middle of her house in Elm Road. Wisbech, Cambridgeshire. She drives her salooncar in at the fron door and out into the yard through the back door. "I have to roll back the carpet and move the furniture first " said Mrs. Thomas," as the roadway is my hall during the day" Mrs Thomas, an attractive 40-year-old blonde hit upon the idea of running her car through the house after parking restrictions were enforced outside her terraced house. The building ones stood in fron of a granary and the hallway was a earriageway for the horse-drawn wagons carting corn. When the building was converted wooden partitions were errected on either side of the doors. These are swung back each time she parks her car. Mrs. Thomas has to leave her car in the carpark if she gets home too late at night, because she dare not drive through the house as the noise would wake everybody up. Photo shows Mrs. Thomas pictured in front of her house showing her car in the roadway which runs through her House.

Photo measures 10 x 8 inches.
