Auction of Goods and Chattels from Britain's oldest Family Home: The auction took place today of goods and chattels of Stoner Park, Oxfordshire, Britain's oldest family home, which the owners Lord and Lady Camoys have put on the market at about £400,000 because of financial pressures. Stoner and the estate has been in the family for 900 years - the longest that any home has belonged to the same family in England. Photo shows the large marquee which was errected for the auction in front of Stoner Park today.
