July 26th 1977 Mystery of Merchant ship 'Crail' . The Mystery of the cargo of the Crail was not nearer solution when custom men began searching her hold of timber for a suspected illicit cargo which speculations had put at at anything from guns to Plutonium . The Mystery surrounding the Crail has been on since 1975. Last year the cargo of timber loaded at Brandamo, Sweden, where according to Captain Brooks, a large amount of plutonium was missing from a government laboratory. A complete search of the ship is now in progress and if cleared will be released by the customs. Photo shows A trained dog tries to sniff out the mystery of the 435 ton cargo ship the crail moorede at Grays.
