Salvation Army's New Chief Elected.
The High Council of the Salvation Army, today announced the name of the man elected as the new general of the movement. He is Commissioner Wilfred Kitching, aged 61. A big name among the army's brass bands, he was born at Wood Green and now works at the London Headquarters. General Albert Orsborn retires on June 30 after eight years at the head of the army.
