Rome, August 1966 â A four day nationwide campaign aimed to make road traffic safer for speedy Italian drivers got under way. The campaign was sponsored by the Minister of Public Works under the âœIf in doubt, donât pass❠at the occasions of the big August vacation exodus throughout the country. The Italian Red Cross (C.R.I.) contributing to the campaign with posters on the ambulance. OPS: An ambulance of the Red Cross.
