Duncan Sandys holds a Peace-in-Rhodesia rally - Mr. Duncan Sandys, Tory M.P. yesterday held a "Peace With Rhodesia'Â rally in Trafalgar Square. After the rally, he was surrounded by a jeering crowd as he tried to reach his car. Some young demonstrators jumped on the car and others tried to overturn it. It was twenty minutes before Mr. Sandys and other Conservative MP's who had spoken at the rally were able to get clear of the crowd. Young Conservatives, Young Liberals and extremist groups from Right and Left were involved in scuffles during the rally and afterwards. When Mr. Sandys had get away, a large section of the crowd stormed Downing Street shouting "Get Wilson'Â. A column of about 1,000 Young Liberals moved after them chanting "Out Smith'Â.
