The Ist 850,000 concrete framed British Embassy in Rome which should be completed next spring. The 16 sections are joined together in the words of Sir Basil Spence, the architect, :like a necklace to form the courtyard". The building caused apprehensions to the organization "Italia Nostra" (Our Italy) for the perturbation of the architecture of the zone.
