Five killed As Police Open Fire on Demonstrators Society Favours Closing Of Educational Institutions: Five persons were killed and about 30 including a number of policemen were injured when police opened fire at Ankamali 25 miles from Ernakulam in Kerala State. This is said to be the first grave consequence of the "direct action" campaign sponsored by the opposition parties with the avowed intention of ousting the Communist ministry of kerala, Demonstrations have been held in various parts of the State. Photo shows.
