Measuring Rainfall -- Data from a unique rainfall measuring system is received at a terminal in the Bell Telephone Laboratories at Holmdel, New New Jersey. The date is important in planning microwave communications systems. It is collected from 100 gauges in a 50-square-mile (130-square-kilometer) area. In right foreground is one of the gauges ready to be mounted on a telephone pole. (67-2716. Accompanies Feature F-67-402.)
