Ronald Marwood executed at Pentoville prison police intervene as crowds struggle outside jail: A crowd about 700 strong demonstrated outside Pentonville Prison this morning when Ronald Harwood was executed for the murder of Police Constable Summers during an affray in Holloway. Mounted police had to force back to booing muttering crowd. Blows and kicks were exchanged between the police and the demonstrators and two arrests were made. There was a wild sea thing mass of fighting people as four policemen struggled to maintain their grip on a struggling man. Photo shows the scene as mounted police force back the booing and muttering crowd outside the prison gates this morning.
