Policeman Hurt in Bomb Explosion Recovering in Hospital. Police Sgt. Lawrence Roberts, in whose hands a parcel bomb exploded as he was carrying it into West Ham police station, is recovering in Queen Mary's Hospital, where he is pictured yesterday. His condition is still serious, but earlier fears that he would lose a hand have receded. Police remain convinced that the IRA was not responsible for the bomb which exploded in the yard of West Ham police station.
