Scene Scene in Regent street London. Strike of Petrol tanker drivers clear traffic off roads: Many of London's main thoroughfares were showing unmistakable signs - traffic scarcity owing to the continued strike of Petrol Tanker Drivers. It is estimated that practically the whole of London will be virtuallya at a standstill by Monday - if the strike is not settled before them. Troops are standing-by ready to take over driving the tankers in order to keep essential services in action as soon as the Government issued the order. Photo shows the scene in Regent Street, London at 11 o'clock today a road which is normally a solid block of traffic appears surprisingly empty.
