Anti-Apartheid campaigner Peter Hain this afternoon led a demonstration outside Barclays Bank in Richmond Road, Putney. They were protesting against Barclays South African subsidiary, investing over $6 million in South African defense bonds, bonds for a special fund to finance the expansion of South Africa's armed forces. This is the same branch of Barclays Bank at which Peter Hain was accused of stealing $490 in October 1975 and was later cleared by a jury at the old Baily. Photo Shows Peter Hain leads the picket outside Barclays Bank in Putney today.

Photo measures 10 x 8 inches.

Photo is dated 1-20-1977.
