Marine Commando Winter Warfare Training Course In Scots Mountains. Building A Snow Wall: The bitterly cold summit of the Cairngorm Mountains, Scotland is the scene of the training course in Winter Warfare - which is being carried out by a detachment of Royal Marine Commandos. Photo shows Some of the Marines build a snow well around a tent - on the summit of the mountain - as part of their Winter Warfare training. The wall should stop the tent from being blown away by the strong - cold winds.
