American training barque "Eagle" arrives in the Thames - The American Coastguard Practice Squadron flagship Eagle with 350 Cadets aboard arrived in the Thames last evening . They are on their annual nine weeks cruise and the vessel is moored near Tower Bridge . The sailing ship is the old Nazi Cadet ship "Horst Wessel" taken over as reparations . The 51 ft. mast of the ship had to be lowered by 14 ft. before she could pass under the top span of Tower Bridge.
