Exercising The Ponies: Queen Elizabeth - Duke Of Edinburgh and their children Prince Charles and Princess Anne exercise their ponies in the grounds of Balmoral Castle during the August holiday this year. Prince Charles holds "Williams"; Princess Anne holds "Greensleeves". Balmoral is an 11,000 acre estate bought by Prince Albert in 1852 for ~31,~00 - the castle being built three years later - and is the private property of the Sovereign.
